I hold a BS degree in Theatre Arts, Communications and Education from Syracuse University and an MA degree in Psychology, with a concentration in Expressive Arts from California State University, Sonoma. I have pursued post graduate studies in Expressive Arts, Psychodrama, Depth Psychotherapeutic and Jungian practices at various institutions and have taught Authentic Movement and Expressive Arts Therapy seminars and university courses. I completed my Interfaith Ordination and Spiritual Care training in 2012 at the Chaplaincy Institute in Berkeley, California and was ordained as an Interfaith Minister and Chaplain as a way to more deeply integrate Ashok Gangadean’s teaching, “Regardless of the name a person uses for the Infinite Force that holds us together, it is the source of our miraculous, unpredictable creativity and our dignity."

Calling

Howard Zinn enlivens my understanding with his wisdom, "We don’t have to wait for some grand utopian future. The future is an infinite succession of presents, and to live now as we think human beings should live, in defiance of all that is bad around us, is itself a marvelous victory." Amidst shifting and radical changes in global culture and the natural world, I find it is time to turn to valuable and time honored methods of healing and mentoring. I am called to offer guidance and companionship for those seeking to shape new and vital forms arising from disconnected, broken or hidden pieces and from personal or ancestral fragmentation. Authentic curiosity and spiritual seeking may serve each of us as means of finding a New Way. The creative act of discovering, naming and sustaining essential elements that contribute to personal and planetary well being leads to a greater sense of wholeness during these times of great uncertainty. As a seeker, I am on a collaborative treasure hunt, feeling so blessed to companion others in my calling. This is the essence of what my heart knows and how I serve as an activist for embodied Soul.

“We can’t articulate the way art heals us anymore than we can articulate the mystery of the cosmos. We are awed by the gifts of art, soothed by its music, comforted by its imagery, inspired by its revelations of the possible and the passionate. Art speaks from the soul, to the soul. It has a language of its own. It is the language of the universe.”
